I’m in a strange mood this evening. This simple yet serene photo brought tears to my eyes. The humble act of worship defines us in its simplicity, yet it’s the greatest demand ever placed on our egos. I cannot worship if I consider myself to be godly by nature. But I cannot submit if I consider submission to be a weakness either.
I dream of peace.

why can’t people chew with their mouths shut and not munch so loud.
especially if you’re in the freaking library.
When you feel like you have done everything and Allaah clearly intervenes to signal to you that you will not have what you are after, or at least for the meantime, you really ought to rejoice at His rejection. Do you know how painful it would have been if He lets you run after something you desire badly and for a very long time, giving it all your efforts, only to fail in the end? The pain would be incredible. It is out of His love and mercy that He tells you to stop, take a breath, let go. He will either give it to you later, or something better. Whatever it is, please don’t ever ever think that He doesn’t love you. Because He does, more than you’ll ever know it, more than you’ll ever imagine it. And even if you think you are unworthy. His love is for all, and He is hope to everyone.
